You are entitled to 5 rebated Medicare sessions from a speech pathologist of $60.85 per calendar year. To access the rebate you will need a referral from your general practitioner called a ‘chronic condition management plan - GPCCMP (Formerly - Chronic Disease Management Plan, CDMP).

To access the rebate you must be under 25 years of age with a diagnoses of Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder (including Autism Spectrum Disorder). The diagnoses must be made by a paediatrician (MBS item 135) or psychiatrist (MBS item 289) is required.
